So here’s the deal

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

Well, within 30 minutes of installing Windows Vista on my laptop I had somehow contracted 4 viruses and 6 mal-ware programs that loved to tell me about offers for FREE C14lis, so after slapping myself in the face a few times for sheepishly giving Windows another go, I reinstalled Ubuntu.

Then I had a long Thanksgiving break.

And now I’m back! Well, for the most part at least. I’m still chugging along with my web design(s) and trying to make this site look good across multiple browsers (god damn you Internet Explorer). Expect more regular updates now.

Bye bye Ubuntu

Well, I loved Feisty, but I don’t think upgrading to Gutsy just yet was a good idea. No dual monitors, no fullscreen video, no ATI love, and a lot of buggy packages. I’m sure things will improve as time goes on, but for now, I’m changing my system over to Windows Vista. I figure the worst that can happen is I get everything working properly, save the disk image, and later use VirtualBox to emulate Vista on a fresh Feisty install, but things seem to be running pretty well at the moment. Still no support for my graphics card though, and only one monitor is working (le sigh), but hopefully that will change in time.

In the meanwhile, pardon the silence.
